Check the details of your route first
Packing for a trek depends on the particular route. Duration, accommodation and included services determine what you need to bring. Before preparing your backpack, request the packing list for your tour and confirm which equipment the operator provides.
Ask about the conditions expected for your departure and any transport restrictions too. A well-organized backpack starts with clear information, not an endless list of belongings.
Prioritize comfort and organization
Choose clothing you can layer and suitable walking footwear you have already worn. Protect your belongings with inner bags and keep frequently used items within easy reach. Sun and rain protection should suit the conditions of your route.
Carry your documents, reservation details and a way to contact your operator. If you require particular personal items, discuss them before departure. This guide does not replace a medical assessment or professional advice appropriate to your circumstances.
Confirm equipment before buying
Do not assume that you need to buy technical equipment. Check whether your itinerary includes accommodation, camping equipment or other services, and ask which items are optional. Confirming this in advance helps avoid packing duplicates.
Prepare a final checklist and review the usefulness of each item. Leave room to organize what you use throughout the day and avoid belongings you do not need. The Packing list tab on our tour pages contains recommendations for each experience; our team can answer questions before your trip.
